I know, I know, it's been too long! I haven't posted until Dec. 9th. A few interesting, notable things happened in my life since then. I should continue the habbit of typing in my blog at least once a week just to hit on the major things which has been happening with my life. This is the reason why I got this thing on my site. So, as of now, I will start doing that again. Now, without further adue, here is what has been going on since December:
First off, Christmas time. Seems like as I get older, the more I lose the whole Christmas spririt thing. Don't get me wrong, I still think it's one of the best times of the year (New Year's being the first, which will be discussed below), not just because of the pressents and being with da fam, but also because it's the day where, well, I guess where anything can happen, which brings on to what happen this Xmas.
I think this was the most, odd, ironic, and most HILARIOUS Christmas I have had in my whole life so far. The main thing being the pressents and the family. Pressent-wise, it was the most hilarious thing I have ever seen! I just spend a few minutes trying to figure out how to explain it but I guess the best way is to just say what went on. When my uncle finally arrived, we gather in the living room and started handing out the gifts. From my uncle, I got a dragon sticker-strip thing to put on the upper winshield of my car and dragon dice. I thought those things were pretty cool but the thing is... I already have those things! He already knew this when I went over his house to help me fix my reverse lights on my car. As soon as I opened the trunk to work on the lights, he noticed the unopened box of the dragon-strip and said he got me that for Xmas. I had in a the trunk since my friend Andew from NY came to visit in July but was waiting to ask my uncle to help me put it on (which we tried doing after we tried fixing the lights, both to no avai). Then, as soon as he went in the passenger side of the car, his head hit the dice I have hanging from the rear-view and he made another comment about how he got that for Xmas for me too. So, when I opened those things from him during Xmas, I thanked him sarcastically and had to explain to everyone the "inside joke." Another thing I opened was a car-cleaning/waxing kit from my mother, which was pretty cool (well, I'm not reallly sure because I haven't used it yet! LOL!). Later on, I opened another present from my uncle and realized it was the same car-cleaning kit I got already from my mother! The same exact one! How hilarious was that! The same thing happened to my sister too. Another thing to note: The Christmas spirit sure was in the air at my, er, former home: bitching, and complaining more than ever! Gotta love being with the fam for Xmas!
*break time!*
Ah, you just gotta love
Entenmanns chocolate cakes! They are just so damn good! I couldn't find a better link to refer to but that will have to do.
That was pretty much all I have to say about the Xmas thing. One thing which happened before that I did was just stupid and pointless.
I went to visit Shit's R' Us a week before Xmas to see how that place was doing and to say "hey" to my, now former, friends (and ex-fellow employees). As soon as I got there, in the front was the store director and another employee who works there. I, of course, approached them to say hi and stuff and, right away, the SD says "Hey, Justin, came back to work?" or something to that affect. I, of course, said no. Then he was saying how he needs someone to watch the back door and all the guys working in the back are slow. So, he asked me to watch the back door. I of course, declined. Then he said I'll only need to watch the back door and that was it. I then said "Just the back door?" and he said "Yep, just the back door." I told him I'll think about it. I walked around the store thinking about how I really
DON'T miss this place but I thought if I would just watch the back door, it wouldn't be that bad, just until season is over. Also, I can look at some of them nice looking girls who were working there during that time too, which were none anyway, except for a cute employee I knew previously.
The next day, I gave the SD a call and told him I'll work for a couple weeks. He said I can come in Friday a little before 4P to take care of some paper work. I showed up the next day, early and met a friend outside when I was on my way in. He didn't believe I was working there again and he told one of the managers up in the "tower" I was back but, of course, she too did not know. So, I went up and told her and told her the SD said for me to come in early and see
. But she said she already left but to go into the training room and see if my time card is there. I went back there and, of course, it WASN'T so I just looked for a smock to wear over my shirt and headed to the back and said "hi" to the people I know and the dumbasses who are back again from last season. Yadda, yadda, I was doing my thing watching the back door most of the time, putting up with the same usual "seasonal bullsit" and helped unload the truck a bit. After that, 11PM came and it was time to close the back door and leave because the SD said all I'll be doing was "watching the back door." So, I started to head up to the front and noticed another manager. She wondered what I was doing here. I held open my black shirt a bit to reveal the red smock and said "I was working today." She said, "You were not!". I said, "I was too!" This went on for a while, back and forth until the employee next to me, who was in the back with me, confirmed (or something to that affect). She then said "The new people have been calling someone back there the 'new guy'" I then said, "I guess I'm the new guy." She said, "Hi new guy!" Then she said, "You're going to help us straighten now, right?" I said, "no, I'm leaving!" She said, "No, you're not!" I said, "Yes I am. SD said I come in to watch the back door and then I can leave" She said, "He did not!" Yadda, yadda..... it goes on like this for a while. Then she said, "What if the people in the back have trouble doing pick-ups or need help?" I said, "Oh, well. SD said for me to just come in and watch the back door and that's it. Nothing else" and she said, "Well, I have to talk to SD about that!" I then said, "ok, goodknight!" and started walking up to the front and talk to a former employee and friend about what I went through and he told me the bullshit he went through.
So, long story short, I worked there from 4-11p and didn't even get paid for it, even though I left a note for the payroll person to take care of it. So, I pretty much spent my knight there putting up with "seasonal bullshit" for nothing but stress and agravation in return!
Now, I haven't been back to that shit-place since! I used to go there to visit old employee's I became friends with and asked if they ever wanted to hang out, give me a call. No call since I have been going there and no call now. Oh well, they can all just kiss my ass now! All these years, I've been a pretty nice guy to many people and what do I get in return from the majority? Quite a bit of nothing! From now on, I'm not going to be as nice as I was back in the day.
This is enough catching up for toknight! I will continue from where I left off tomorrow!
